I have had a passion for creatively expressing myself since I can remember. In terms of art, I never thought I was Picasso or Kahlo but I always had a love for it. In terms of creating music, I always saw myself on someone's stage or singing in my own music video.

I later found that both my grandparents had their hands in these creative works. My paternal grandmother wrote and produced music and my maternal grandfather was an artist.

 

I have wanted to model since I was about 8 years old. However, growing up, I did not see much positive representation for dark skinned women and I faced some struggles with seeing myself as beautiful.

 

As time progressed and I began to accept myself and my many forms of self expression, I began to notice how important it is for young people and others who are labeled as “different” in this world to be represented.

 

My greatest desire is to show the world that beauty and talent comes in all colors, shapes and sizes. Most importantly, my greatest desire is to showcase my gifts with the world in hopes to inspire others like me to shine their light.
